Our professor in General Psychology gave us a test about our study habits last Thursday. After we finished answering the test, our professor gave us the answer key. We're told to check if our answers were correct. After checking, we'ere told to encircle the numbers where we got wrong answers on the chart. Not encircled number on the chart means strengths and encircled numbers mean weaknesses. After that, we count the items we encircled on each category on the chart and total them beside each category.
These are my results, Concentration, 3, Remembering – 3, Organizing time, - 5, Studying a chapter – 3, Listening and taking notes – 3, Taking tests – 4, and Motivation – 0. The lower the number of encircled items, you have better study habits.
I got 3 for Concentration. I sometimes find it hard concentrating on my lessons or even when I am in the class listening to my teacher because I have many problems in my mind. For Remembering, I got 3. Remembering for me is sometimes easy but sometimes not. Memorizing poems is not hard for me but very long paragraphs like long stories is hard for me. Organizing Time, I got 5. This is the hardest part for me because living in a boarding house is like me being very free. I can do everything I want, that's why sometimes I forgot my time in studying my lessons. For Studying a Chapter, I got 3. It's not hard for me to study a chapter if it is only focused only on one topic. For Listening and taking notes, I got 3. I sometimes find it hard to listen to my teacher because of not concentrating on my lessons, but taking notes is not a problem with me because I always tend to write down everything my teacher writes. For Taking Tests, I got 4. I always got nervous when taking a tests because I always think that the test is hard. Motivation, I got 0. I am very motivated to study hard because of my dreams of being a very successful engineer someday.
